Description
Nosler Trophy Grade 6.5 PRC AccuBond 140gr — 200 Rounds
The Nosler 6.5 PRC AccuBond (Trophy Grade) is Nosler’s own factory hunting load.
It is built with Nosler brass and Nosler AccuBond bullets, loaded to the specifications Nosler’s ballistics team developed for the 6.5 PRC cartridge.
At $2.00 per round for 200 rounds, this is a full-season hunting load from the company that makes both the brass and the bullet.
Why “Trophy Grade” Means Something Here
Most factory ammunition is built with contract brass from large suppliers, and bullets purchased at volume from component manufacturers.
The Nosler 6.5 PRC AccuBond Trophy Grade line is different.
Nosler manufactures the brass in-house, then loads it with their own AccuBond bullets. Every stage is controlled by one company.
The Features list on this page reflects that: cases checked for correct length, necks sized and chamfered, flash holes checked for alignment, powder charges individually weighed. These are handloader practices applied at factory scale.
The AccuBond Bullet
AccuBond is Nosler’s flagship bonded hunting bullet — distinct from the AccuBond Long Range (which is optimised for low-velocity terminal performance at distance).
Key design features:
Bonded core. The lead alloy core is chemically bonded to the copper alloy jacket. Under impact, core and jacket stay together, preventing separation and maintaining weight through bone.
White polymer tip. Nosler’s signature white tip initiates expansion on impact and improves BC over a flat-base design.
Boat tail base. Reduces drag and improves accuracy at range.
Ballistic tip + bonded core gives the AccuBond reliable close-range expansion (like a standard polymer tip) and reliable long-range weight retention (like a bonded bullet) — which is the design goal.

Where It Fits in the 6.5 PRC Range
The Nosler 6.5 PRC AccuBond Trophy Grade is the brand-integrated premium option — both the brass and the bullet are Nosler:
- Nosler E-Tip 120gr — Nosler lead-free option (E-Tip bullet)
- Federal Fusion 140gr — Federal’s bonded deer load at the same grain weight
- Winchester EBGLR 142gr — AccuBond LR (different design, long-range optimised)
- Nosler 6.5 PRC AccuBond 140gr — standard AccuBond, Nosler brass
Note: the Winchester EBGLR uses the AccuBond Long Range — a different bullet from this one.
The AccuBond LR targets low-velocity long-range expansion; the AccuBond in the Nosler 6.5 PRC AccuBond is an all-range hunting design.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the AccuBond? Nosler’s standard bonded hunting bullet — lead alloy core chemically bonded to a copper alloy jacket, white polymer tip for expansion initiation, boat tail for BC. Different from the AccuBond Long Range, which is designed for low-velocity expansion at extended range.
How does Trophy Grade differ from standard factory ammo? Nosler uses their own brass and their own bullets, loaded to their own specifications. Standard factory ammo typically uses contract brass and bullets at production tolerances; Trophy Grade applies handloader quality standards at factory scale.
Is it lead-free? No — conventional lead alloy core. Not California-compliant for hunting. For lead-free 6.5 PRC, see the Nosler E-Tip 120gr in this range.
Can I reload the brass? Yes — Nosler brass is reloadable. Having premium brass as a starting point for reloading is part of the Trophy Grade value proposition.
How does it compare to the Federal Fusion 140gr also in this range? Both are 140-grain bonded loads. Fusion uses a molecularly bonded core and Federal brass at 2,925 fps. AccuBond uses a chemically bonded core, polymer tip, and Nosler brass at 2,900 fps. Functionally similar; the AccuBond has a polymer tip for slightly more consistent expansion initiation.
What’s the per-round cost? $400 / 200 = $2.00 per round.
How many rounds is 200? 10 × 20-round boxes.
Is the AccuBond suitable for elk? Yes — it is designed for all game from deer to elk at hunting distances.
