Flat Base (FB). The flat base eliminates the boat-tail geometry. In short carbine barrels — the 8–16 inch barrels typical of suppressed or compact .300 BLK builds — flat base bullets stabilise and perform more consistently than boat-tail designs. The trade-off is slightly lower BC; at .300 BLK distances, that trade-off is acceptable.

Polymer tip. The tip initiates expansion at the velocities produced by shorter barrels — important because a 10″ barrel produces noticeably less velocity than the 16″ test barrel specifications assume.
